Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Instruction Assistant for Therapeutic Classroom or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Lucretia and Joseph Brown Elementary School is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and student-centered Instructional Assistant or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our educational team. The candidate will work directly with students who require behavioral and social-emotional support, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Special Education Teacher, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in collaboration with school counselor, teachers, related service providers, and families. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop the behavioral, communication, social, and adaptive skills necessary for success in the classroom and beyond. Essential Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as directed by the supervising BCBA. Provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support throughout the school day. Collect accurate behavioral and academic data and maintain required documentation. Assist students in developing communication, social and emotional regulation Support students during classroom instruction, transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families to promote student success. Maintain student confidentiality and comply with district, state, and federal regulations. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required. Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
