Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to work as an Assistant Teacher to support classroom activities and assist teachers in providing a safe and nurturing educational environment. This is a full-time, entry-level position. Availability to work until 6:00 P.M. 2 days per week is required. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing afternoon lesson plans and activities. Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among students. Support early childhood education initiatives by engaging children in play-based learning. Supervise students during classroom activities, outdoor activities, and transitions to ensure safety. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Assist the closer with tasks associated with shutting down the building as assigned. Skills & Characteristics Experience working with children, particularly in a classroom or childcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with early childhood education principles is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and development. Passionate about being a lifelong learner. Desire to become a certified teacher.
