This is a full-time contract opportunity, offering 32.5 hours per week as a paraprofessional working within a developmental classroom. You'll have the chance to support students, collaborate with educators, and foster an inclusive environment where every learner can thrive.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly valued Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfort working with students in developmental classrooms Ability to follow teacher-led instruction and individual education plans (IEPs) Patient, flexible, and committed to helping students achieve their goals High school diploma or equivalent; additional related coursework or certifications a plusKey Responsibilities:
Provide direct assistance and instructional support to students in the classroom Help implement lesson plans and adapt materials under teacher guidance Foster a positive, nurturing environment that supports student growth Assist with classroom management and help maintain a safe, organized space Offer one-on-one or small group support to students with varying needs Assist with personal care or mobility as needed, depending on student requirements Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to track student progress and encourage independenceBenefits and Perks:
