Who You Are:
You have exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. You have a desire to work closely with the director to help create and maintain a loving and nurturing learning environment for all the children while helping to oversee business administration, marketing, and financial operations.
The Opportunity:
Your role would be a dual role, consisting of administrative tasks as well as helping to coordinate and implement a hands-on afternoon learning experience for the children. The role will on average consist of 6 hours of administrative work and 2 hours of instructional time. This would be the perfect role for someone who still wants to be in the classroom but is interested in stepping into more of an administrative role with the possibility of becoming a director in the future.
Who We Are:
Animal Crackers Nursery School is part of The Academy of Early Learning, an organization committed to unique and intimate premium early education for local families. We are committed to providing high-quality, customized education to children ages 2 years 9 month through 6. Animal Crackers is licensed for 76 preschool aged children. We emphasize play and socialization at ACNS because that is the world in which children operate.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage billing and accounts payable for our families
  • Responsible for obtaining, processing and reviewing any of the required paperwork for the MA state regulations.
  • Processes payments for all vendors in a timely manner.
  • Manage a small group of teaching staff in the afternoon hours and help to plan and implement hands-on learning activities for the afternoon hours at the school
  • Actively participate in a professional development and the creation and implementation of a succession plan
  • Work collaboratively with the director to assist in projects as needed
  • Daily hours will 8:30-5:00 during the school year and 8:00-4:30 during summer and school vacation weeks.
Must-haves in a
Candidate:
  • EEC Preschool Teacher Certification (Willingness to obtain EEC Director certification if not yet certified)
  • Strong time management skills
  • Top notch communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn how to navigate childcare software (ProCare currently being used) Nice to Have In a
Candidate:
  • Previous experience in administration
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms especially
