In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate activities, ensuring each child's needs are met with patience and care. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and executing engaging activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and well-being at all times. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies aligned with center policies. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns about their child's progress or well-being. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately. Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic infant/toddler care as needed, adhering to health and safety regulations including first aid and pediatric first aid procedures. Experience Prior experience working with young children in a daycare center or preschool setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and child development instruction techniques. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR (Childhood First Aid) is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving toddlers or infants is advantageous. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration are essential.
