Science Associate Teacher Job Type:
Full Time, Contract Pioneer Charter School of Science (PCSS), a high performing network of public charter schools serving students across the Greater Boston and North Shore areas, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Associate Teacher for the 2026 to 2027 school year. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about science education and are interested in developing their teaching career in a collaborative school environment. The Science Associate Teacher works closely with the lead science teacher to support classroom instruction, prepare laboratory activities, reinforce student learning, and provide academic support to students. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson implementation, working with small groups and individual students, supporting classroom management, helping maintain laboratory materials and equipment, and fostering a safe and engaging learning environment. This position offers valuable classroom experience and has the potential to lead to a full time classroom teaching position within the Pioneer Charter School network. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Science or a related field. Strong interest in science education and working with students. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to support students with diverse academic and learning needs. Commitment to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and student centered classroom environment.
