Paraprofessionals will work under the direction of a special educator, related service providers, and in collaboration with other paraprofessionals and school-based personnel to meet the goals and objectives of students' IEPs. Services may include a focus on academic support, behavioral support, sensory support, communication facilitation, transitions among school settings, addressing health, hygiene and safety needs, and guiding the development of social and emotional skills with individuals or groups of students.
