What You'll Do Salem Academy seeks an excellent special education paraprofessional who is committed to raising student achievement through the integration of rigorous college preparatory classes with service to the community. The next Special Education Paraprofessional at SACS will be responsible for the following in addition to other duties as assigned by their manager: Working with and for
Students:
Supporting students in the classroom depending upon their IEPs and instructional needs Implementing consistent academic and behavioral procedures to ensure a structured, respectful, and achievement-oriented environment across classrooms Monitoring and analyzing student progress through standards-based assessments Supporting, planning and/or co-leading Service-Learning projects Working with and for Colleagues Collaborating with Special Education, General Education, and ELD teachers to support students with diverse learning needs Building and maintaining strong school culture centered on achievement Tracking academic and behavioral data Participating in weekly professional development sessions (e.g., Curriculum Teams, workshops) Participating in weekly Form Meetings (e.g., grade level teams) Who Your Are You are a skilled educator.
