In this vital role, you will provide essential classroom support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental challenges. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and curriculum plans tailored to students' unique needs Support students with disabilities, including those requiring physical assistance, behavioral management, and communication support such as American Sign Language (ASL) Provide classroom support in special education settings, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all students Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques aligned with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) guidelines Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and execute lesson plans focused on literacy, math, early childhood education, and social-emotional skills Assist with basic childcare tasks and toddler care for early childhood programs Handle confidential information responsibly while supporting students' educational growth and well-being Qualifications Prior experience working with children or students with special education needs, including autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities Knowledge of Deaf education, childhood development, classroom management, and behavior support strategies Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and early childhood education practices Proficiency in communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals Experience working with students with disabilities in private school or similar educational environments is preferred Ability to provide physical assistance for students requiring mobility or behavioral support Understanding of IEP processes, behavior management techniques, and working within the framework of the ESSA standards Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately Join us as a Paraprofessional and be part of a passionate team dedicated to empowering every student through supportive teaching practices.
