Job Description

Nuestra Casa Adult Day Health Center is a fun, therapeutic day program that aims to help individuals stay independent, safe, and well so they can live the lives they want to live. This shift is for part time Monday through Saturday 25-30 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Program Aide / Driver include: Helps participants to and from transportation safely upon arrival and departure. Drives members to and from the day center Assists Activity Coordinator and other program staff in operating activity programs. Assists Participants with their individual needs. Maintains daily flow sheets of care. Prepares & assists with service of all snacks and meals. Listen and encourage social interaction and communication among the participants. Maintenance, housekeeping . Other duties as assigned by Program Director.
Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years old and hold a High School Diploma or a GED Certificate. Minimum of 1 year experience as a full-time direct care aide. Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in both English & Spanish.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must possess strong interpersonal skills including but not limited to: Empathetic and caring nature with an understanding of the unique needs and interests of the senior community. Must be highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize. Must have the ability to deal with participants, families, and staff with tact and professionalism. Must understand how to deescalate situations and confidentially solve problems as they arise. Has a strong meaningful commitment to promoting the well-being and health of others.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to pass a CORI, OIG and background check. Satisfactorily completed a pre-employment physical examination and received a Tuberculosis screening within the previous 12months.
