Full Job Description Job Summary:
XC Art Center is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Art Teaching Assistant to support art classes and youth programs for students ages 6-17. This part-time position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with children, have an interest in art education, and are seeking a stable, ongoing teaching opportunity with a regular Sunday schedule. Reliable transportation to Woburn is strongly preferred. Public transportation access can be limited on weekends.Responsibilities:
Assist lead instructors during art classes Help prepare classroom materials and organize art supplies Support students during drawing, painting, and creative projects Assist with classroom management and student supervision Help maintain a clean and organized studio environment Assist with exhibitions, student showcases, competitions, and special events Communicate with parents in Mandarin when needed Support general studio operations and administrative tasks as assignedRequired Qualifications:
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese Comfortable communicating in English Comfortable working with children ages 6-17 Strong communication and teamwork skills Responsible, dependable, and detail-oriented Reliable transportation to Woburn, MA Legally authorized to work in theUnited States Preferred Qualifications:
Art background or art education experience Experience working with children, youth programs, camps, or classrooms Teaching assistant, tutoring, camp counselor, or classroom support experience Interest in arts education and youth developmentPay:
