Job Description

As a Toddler Teacher Assistant at Little Creek, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment for toddlers aged 1-3 years. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, fostering developmental milestones, and promoting a love for learning through play.
Key Responsibilities Support Daily Activities:
Assist in planning and implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Supervision:
Ensure the safety and well-being of toddlers during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions.
Engagement:
Encourage exploration and creativity by engaging children in play, arts and crafts, music, and movement activities.
Communication:
Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
Classroom Management:
Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
Record Keeping:
Assist in documenting each child's progress and milestones through observations and assessments.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the lead teacher and other staff members to support a cohesive educational approach.
Professional Development:
Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance educational techniques and knowledge.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience working with toddlers or in a childcare setting preferred.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Patience and a nurturing attitude towards young children. Basic understanding of child development principles. Characteristics Passionate about early childhood education. Creative and resourceful in engaging toddlers in learning activities. Pay:
