Help Students Thrive in a Well-Organized Learning Environment Kumon of Crofton is looking for a dependable, organized, and confident Learning Center Assistant to help lead daily classroom operations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, keeping things organized, and helping a team deliver an exceptional educational experience. You won't be responsible for teaching lessons or managing parents. Instead, you'll ensure our learning center runs smoothly by maintaining classroom structure, supporting instructors, monitoring student progress, and coordinating with our front desk team. Pay & Schedule $20-$25 per hour Part-time Flexible schedule Paid training provided Opportunity for increased responsibility and leadership What You'll Do Lead Classroom Operations Maintain a quiet, focused, and productive learning environment. Redirect off-task behavior using established classroom expectations. Monitor student progress and classroom flow. Help sessions run smoothly and on schedule. Support Student Success Ensure students complete assigned work before leaving. Monitor attendance and session timing. Identify students who may need additional support due to inconsistent attendance, motivation, or classroom behavior. Report concerns to the Center Director. Support the Team Coordinate with instructors and front desk staff throughout each session. Help prepare materials before students arrive. Assist during busy periods to keep operations running efficiently. Monitor classroom organization and readiness. Welcome New Students Help new students feel comfortable during their first visits. Support placement testing and classroom orientation. Ensure materials are prepared and students understand classroom routines. We're Looking For Someone Who Enjoys working with children. Is dependable and highly organized. Can confidently redirect student behavior with kindness and consistency. Notices details and solves problems proactively. Works well as part of a team. Communicates professionally. Experience in education, tutoring, childcare, customer service, or classroom management is preferred, but not required. Kumon experience is a plus—we provide training.
