A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Lead Teacher (starting hourly rate $19.00 and up) Previous experience working with children in a developmentally appropriate group setting. 45 Hr. School-Age/ 45 Hr. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands the concepts of mutual respect, responsibility, and communication and interaction with children, parents, and staff. Guides and assists in the development of program content and special events. Assist in the development, training, and ongoing educational requirements through orientation, training, and continued education opportunities. Understands the group leader's role as that of facilitator vs. instructor. Communicate problems, issues, or concerns with the supervisor. Possess the ability to relate to children, parents, peers, branch staff, volunteers, and the community. Must pass a medical examination. Keep up-to-date records of all children participating in the program. Manage staff scheduling for the site. Manage attendance sheets for the assigned site. Manage staff files and paperwork. Must pass CPS (Child Protective Services) and FBI criminal background check.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
Bilingual. Proficient in Google Suite. Experience working within a school system or childcare facility. Working towards an Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or 90 Hours (45 growth & development/ 45 School Age)
