Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional to join our secondary team. The ideal candidate will love Jesus and students. This role will create a positive classroom environment for students who are working independently on their studies. Flexibility for the diversity of classes will be essential. As a Christian school, we believe teachers are role models and mentors. A Christian faith and lifestyle is requisite to this position. Responsibilities Lead each class wiyth love and grace as you help each student flourish Integrate biblical themes and and a Christian worldview into everyday conversations and interactions. Answering questions and affering assistance as appropriate. Managing the classroom climate to ensure each student is suported and that the class reflects the values of a Christian school and a relational culture. Collaborate with colleagues and share best practices for teaching for teaching and connecting with each student. Mentor students in academic advising and support their educational goals through tutoring sessions as needed. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic performance. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Educational background with a track record of teaching is preferred; private school experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Experience working with students of varying abilities; special education experience is a plus. Strong classroom management skills coupled with effective behavior management strategies. Demonstrated ability in mentoring students and providing academic advising. A Christian testimony and lifetyle, and involvement in a like-minded local church is required.
