Responsibilities The school seeks candidates to teach courses in communications, professional and technical writing, and first-year writing as an introduction to academic discourse. These courses will contribute meaningfully to the major and minor in Communications and Media Arts, the writing concentration in the English major, the Writing minor, and the Nor'easter Core Curriculum. The expected teaching load is 12 credits (4 courses) per semester. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in academic advising, recruiting, course and program assessment and service to the school, college, and university. Qualifications A terminal degree in communications, writing, or a closely related field is strongly preferred. A master's degree is required. Graduate coursework and/or professional development in writing instruction and undergraduate undergraduate teaching experience are also required.
