Assistant Teacher (Toddle Room)

Assistant Toddler Teacher Hometown Health Center Childcare Program Hometown Health Center is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Toddler Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers. This role works collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to meet daily classroom needs while fostering a positive and professional learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum for toddlers Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Anticipate and respond to toddlers' individual needs with care and patience Communicate clearly and professionally with the Lead Teacher Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations Participate in required trainings, meetings, and DHHS requirements

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent required (or currently enrolled) CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Must pass DHHS background checks Registered with Maine Roads to Quality or willing to become registered

Preferred:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Join a supportive and collaborative childcare team dedicated to providing high-quality care for young children and meaningful support for families.
