Teacher's Aide - South Portland, Maine Job DescriptionJob Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant educational setting near South Portland, ME. We're seeking two dedicated individuals with an active Ed Tech III license ready to make a meaningful impact in the classroom. This role offers the stability of a school-year contract, running from now through June 11. Your schedule will align with the school day-7:15am to 2:45pm Monday through Friday, with early release Wednesdays at 1:10pm-providing balanced weekly hours and time to enjoy life outside of work. You'll become an integral part of a supportive district that values the important contributions paraprofessionals make every day.
Key Qualifications:
Active Ed Tech III license is required School-based or paraprofessional experience preferred Adaptable, patient, and collaborative approach Strong communication and problem-solving skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Provide classroom and individual student support as directed by teaching staff Assist with instructional activities and facilitate student engagement Encourage positive behaviors and help maintain a productive classroom environment Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure students' needs are met Support students' academic and social progress throughout the school year Enjoy the advantages of a W2 hourly contract, earning $25-$29 per hour along with available healthcare benefits.
