9680915-48103 Job Description Step into a rewarding role supporting students as an American Sign Language (ASL) Paraprofessional for a middle school caseload. In this full-time, contract position, youll work closely with students who are Deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring they receive equitable access to all aspects of their educational experience. Your fluency in ASL, paired with a passion for helping others, will make a positive difference every day.

Key Qualifications:

Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) High school diploma required; must provide diploma and/or college transcripts if hired Previous experience in a school setting Ability to connect and collaborate with middle school students and staff Genuine commitment to supporting academic and personal growth for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support for middle school students, facilitating communication and academic engagement Interpret classroom instruction and materials, ensuring student comprehension and participation Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to tailor learning experiences Assist with classroom management and reinforce appropriate social behaviors Adapt quickly to classroom needs and support a positive learning environment
