Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Adult Day Care Center Program Aid, where you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities through engaging activities, compassionate care, and supportive services. This energetic position offers the opportunity to foster a welcoming environment, promote independence, and enhance well-being for participants. As a Program Aid, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals and caregivers to deliver personalized assistance that meets each individual's unique needs, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and respectful atmosphere. Duties Assist with planning and coordinating recreational activities, social events, and therapeutic programs tailored to participants' interests and abilities Support individuals with daily living activities (ADLs), including grooming, mobility, feeding, and personal hygiene Provide companionship and emotional support to promote social engagement and reduce feelings of isolation Help monitor participants' health status and communicate any concerns to nursing or caregiving staff promptly Manage schedules for activities and appointments to ensure smooth daily operations Assist with dementia care, Alzheimer's support, memory care activities, and aging issues counseling Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and assisting with incident documentation as needed Requirements Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred Knowledge of senior care practices including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and recreational therapy techniques Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in home & community care environments is highly desirable Strong communication skills to effectively interact with participants, families, and team members Ability to assist with ADLs and manage schedules efficiently in a dynamic setting Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caregiving and senior well-being Basic understanding of aging issues counseling and social work principles is a plus Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods while maintaining safety standards Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
