Summary The Teaching Assistant works closely with youth. They will deliver support to the Site Coordinator and other team members to provide nutrition, enrichment, and academic and emotional support to youth in both Benzie Central Middle and High Schools. Work hours:

During the school year - 4 days per week, 3-4 hours per day. Summer - 6-week program work hours: 4 days per week, 6-7 hours per day. There may be some variations due to site specific needs. $15.72/hr Physical Requirements Ability to stand for up to 3 hours at a time. Ability to hike on uneven terrain for up to 3 hours and run for short periods. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to walk up and down stairs regularly. Ability to stoop, kneel, pick up items and easily get up and down from the floor to a standing position. Ability/willingness to spend up to an hour outdoors in summer and winter temperatures and all-weather conditions. Ability to hear sounds and recognize difference between them. Required Skills Ability to work well with youth. Self-motivated/independent worker. Ability to effectively communicate. Qualifications Must be a minimum of 17 years of age. Must be certified or willing to certify in CPR/First Aid.
