Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM Love working with children and interested in building a career in early childhood education? The Learning Experience
  • Byron Center is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Teacher to help create safe, engaging, and joyful classrooms for our young learners.
You'll work alongside experienced Lead Teachers, participate in hands-on learning activities, support children's daily routines, and gain valuable classroom experience while receiving training and support from our team. Key Responsibilities Support Lead Teachers with classroom activities and daily routines Engage children through art, stories, music, movement, sensory experiences, and play Assist with meals, rest time, diapering, toileting, and transitions as appropriate Encourage positive social interactions and growing independence Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management Help maintain classroom ratios and supervision Build positive relationships with children and families Maintain clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classrooms Work collaboratively with teachers and center leadership Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous childcare, daycare, preschool, or experience working with children preferred Professional childcare experience is a plus, but not required CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus Willingness to learn and participate in required training Reliable, patient, positive, and team-oriented Must meet Michigan licensing requirements for the position What We Offer $16
