Since its founding in 1994, NSPHS has focused on uplifting the lives of children and their families through comprehensive programs tailored to support early development. We are seeking a qualified Early Head Start Teacher specializing in infants and toddlers to join our team. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, fostering the growth and development of young children through structured curriculum development, engaging lesson planning, and nurturing classroom management. The ideal candidate will hold a CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) only and possess a passion for working with young children to promote their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support early childhood development milestones for infants and toddlers. Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, physical activities, and foundational math skills. Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and child welfare. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones. Collaborate with families to support individual needs, including those related to special education or early intervention services. Maintain accurate classroom records, including attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and program policies. CDA credential or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) only. Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in early childhood settings is required. Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is preferred. Familiarity with literacy education, Montessori methods, or preschool experience is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families and team members. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons aligned with childhood development standards and assessments.
