Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our toddler team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. As an Assistant Teacher, you will support the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and managing classroom dynamics, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive. Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote literacy education and overall development.
- Support behavior management strategies to create a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Engage with toddlers and preschool-aged children in daily activities, encouraging exploration and learning through play.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and promote a supportive, collaborative atmosphere.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space conducive to learning.
- Participate in classroom assessments and contribute to individual child development plans.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher on curriculum development, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor playtime, ensuring their safety at all times. Qualifications
- Previous experience in daycare or childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of toddler care principles and preschool education practices is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that foster positive interactions among children.
- A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and development.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom needs and schedules.
- A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field is a plus but not required.
