This full-time contract opportunity runs through the 2026-2027 school year, with immediate openings available. Based near the Grand Blanc area, you will collaborate with educational teams to provide essential support across various classroom placements, including both self-contained and general education environments, serving students with a wide range of needs. Ideal candidates will demonstrate compassion and adaptability, with readiness to assist students one-on-one in both academic and daily living tasks. Assignments may include supporting students with cognitive or emotional impairments, and duties may involve health-related tasks such as diapering or toileting.

Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit (official transcripts required), OR Associate degree or higher, OR Passing ETS Paraprofessional Assessment score (at least 460), OR Satisfactory SAT scores (at least 480 in evidence-based reading/writing and 530 in math). Previous paraprofessional or classroom assistant experience preferred. Flexibility regarding type of caseload and assignments is a must. Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to supporting students growth and well-being. Willingness and ability to assist in daily care tasks for students with cognitive impairments. Ability to communicate effectively with educators and families.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with students in individualized or small group settings. Support instruction under the direction of certified teachers. Provide health aide assistance, including toileting/diapering if needed. Collaborate with educators and related service providers. Foster an inclusive, positive learning climate.
