As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside our Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can learn, explore, and thrive every day. What You'll Do Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences. Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Supervise children at all times while ensuring compliance with Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules. Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, nap time, and daily classroom routines. Document children's daily activities through our parent communication app. Encourage positive behavior while supporting children's independence and confidence. Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a fun, welcoming learning environment. What We're Looking For Passion for working with young children. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Reliable transportation and excellent attendance. Ability to work well as part of a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Experience in a licensed childcare center is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right person! Must be able to pass the Michigan Child Care Background Check (CCBC). Must meet all State of Michigan licensing requirements for employment in a licensed childcare center.
