Company Overview Lakeshore Little People's Place (LLPP) is a Christian non-profit childcare and preschool dedicated to nurturing young learners in the Hamilton, MI area. We offer full day programs for children from birth to kindergarten entrance, fostering a caring and educational environment that supports early childhood development. Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson planning, and help create a positive learning atmosphere for children with diverse needs. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to our mission of providing high-quality early childhood education rooted in Christian values. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans across various subjects including literacy, math, and social-emotional skills Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering a respectful environment Help prepare educational materials and set up learning stations aligned with curriculum goals Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote development in language, motor skills, and social interactions Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment at all times Communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's progress and classroom events Skills Experience in early childhood education or licensed childcare Knowledge of special education strategies and behavior management techniques Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage families Classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment Ability to work effectively with young children, demonstrating patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching Understanding of childhood development principles and childcare best practices Join us at Lakeshore Little People's Place where your passion for teaching can truly make a difference! Pay:
$14.75 - $16.25 per hour
