Wee Friends Early Learning Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Associate GSRP Teacher to join our growing preschool team! Position Summary The Associate GSRP Teacher works alongside the Lead Teacher to create an engaging classroom that supports the social, emotional, physical, and academic development of preschool children. The Associate Teacher will assist with implementing the Michigan Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) requirements and Creative Curriculum, while helping create meaningful learning experiences based on children's interests, needs, and developmental goals. This is a Monday-Friday position and requires flexibility and a commitment to working collaboratively with the teaching team.
Qualifications Required :
○ Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
AND/OR:
○ With the goal of working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Childhood Development Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred. Must meet all MiLEAP licensing requirements, including required background checks and health screenings. Applicants who do not have all required qualifications upon hire must be willing to obtain the necessary credentials, education, training and/or experience within the time frame required by GSRP to become fully qualified. Responsibilities Support the Lead Teacher in implementing Creative Curriculum and GSRP requirements. Build positive relationships with children and families. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Observe and document children's development. Assist with classroom planning, daily routines, and transitions. Maintain a clean, organized, and licensing-compliant classroom. Collaborate with coworkers to ensure high-quality early childhood education.
