Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description

Skills:
Establish daily age-appropriate programs and activities that support the Club's mission, vision, and values for 1st - 4th grade members Promote and encourage member participation in programs and activities throughout the Club Be actively engaged with Club members for the duration of their shift Always keep respectful boundaries within relationships with staff, volunteers, and youth Develop and take ownership of relevant program partnerships with schools and community organizations Provide guidance and discipline to ensure a safe and positive environment, including discussing behaviors or concerns with parents or guardians Prepare program areas before members' arrival and make sure everything is clean and tidy at the end of each day's programming Be aware of all safety and emergency procedures of the Club Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and special programs or Club events Be willing to facilitate Parent Orientations Assist Coordinator and other staff members as needed Part-time 20 hours a week, 2:30-6:30, Monday - Friday.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum of one year of experience working directly with school-age youth Flexible and dependable Reliable transportation Bilingualism is a plus, but not required
