About The Role The Paraprofessional will lend professional support to the Teacher in all aspects of daily school activities which may include delivering the district adopted curriculum, testing students, model reading strategies, and perform any duties necessary to ensure the delivery of best-practice in remedial instruction within Title I guidelines to students. Qualifications Desired Meet minimum expectations of Title I qualified paraprofessional guidelines: Complete at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hours); or Obtain an associate's degree (or higher); or Meet a rigorous standard of quality demonstrated through passage of an approved formal state academic assessment Strong preference given to a person who possesses a valid Michigan Teacher Certificate or Bachelor's degree About Us We are a K-6 public school in Michigan, offering a modern day education with an old-world twist — multi-age classrooms filled with technology. We have one teacher and a para-pro with two classrooms and base our teaching on the Michigan K-12 Standards for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
