1. Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans with the other teachers in the preschool team. a. Share responsibility with the other preschool team teachers in preparing materials for the day. 2. Record anecdotal notes daily on the children and input the notes into the COR Advantage online. 3. Complete two Parent-Teacher Conferences a year. 4. Fill in for the Lead Teacher in his or her absence. 5. Promote a positive atmosphere in the classroom by communicating with the children, parents, and other teachers. 6. Establish a relationship with the children and their parents. 7. Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment. 8. Provide the children with developmentally appropriate materials.
Essential Functions:
The employee must be able to bend to lift up to 40 pounds, sit/kneel on the floor, see and hear location of children, walk up and down stairs, accompany children on walks and field trips, and communicate with children and parents. Experience and/or education in early childhood, a high school diploma or its equivalent and be at least 18 years of age are also requirements of the position. The employee could potentially be exposed to communicable diseases and blood-borne pathogens.
Minimum Qualifications:
Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) and experience working in an early childhood classroom. Organizational, communication, team work, and lesson planning skills are essential to the position.
Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
