Position:
Elementary Specialized Classroom AideLocation:
Merrill Elementary SchoolReports To:
Elementary Principal Salary:
$15.50-$22.75 per hour, depending on experience.
Position Summary:
Assist student participation within the daily classroom routine. Provide group and/or individualized guided practice with classroom tasks, when needed, under the direction of the teacher. Facilitate self-directed learning and independence for students within the general education setting. Grade-level setting may vary from Kindergarten through 5th grade depending on the needs of the District. Perform other duties assigned by administration.
Qualifications:
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED. Must meet at least one of the following requirements: Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education, equal to 60 semester hours; OR Possess an Associate's Degree or higher; OR Have or acquire a passing score on the Basic Skills test, MTTC.
Must satisfactorily pass:
Criminal Background Check Unprofessional Conduct Background Check Personal and business references background check Must be willing to work cooperatively with staff, students, and parents.
