Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Teacher / Assistant Director to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead classroom activities, support early childhood development, and assist with administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early education, skilled in classroom management, and eager to make a positive impact on children's lives. Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to preschoolers. Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and child welfare practices Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of incidents or developmental assessments Support early intervention efforts for children with special needs or developmental delays Oversee classroom safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment for all children Skills Extensive experience working with children in educational or childcare settings Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, curriculum development, and preschool teaching methods Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and standardized testing procedures Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment Ability to lead lesson planning sessions that incorporate literacy education, math skills, and physical activities Experience in Early childhood is preferred Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies Certifications in first aid and CPR are required Join us at Steppin Out On Faith Learning Center where your passion for early childhood education can truly make a difference!
