Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant 4-year-old classroom. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes early childhood development. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster curiosity, social skills, and foundational learning for young children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored for 4-year-olds Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through routines and activities Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning stations and maintaining a clean, safe environment Engage children in hands-on activities that promote cognitive, motor, and social skills development Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behaviors, and classroom experiences Support special education and early intervention strategies to meet diverse learning needs Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and welfare at all times Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and preschool teaching methods Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing for early learners Ability to manage classrooms effectively through behavior management and classroom management techniques Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and students Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification to ensure child safety in emergencies Comfortable with learning outdoors. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
