VACANCY NOTICE 2026-27 CAREGIVER SWAN VALLEY SCHOOLS LEARNING CENTER
(PRESCHOOL, CHILDCARE, LATCHKEY)

Hourly rate starting at $14.14, part time
Start Date:
ASAP Responsibilities:
1. Must be able to supervise children, ranging from ages 3-12 2. Must be willing and able to help with basic housekeeping tasks such as, but not limited to: vacuuming, sanitizing tables, toys, cots, carpets, prepare lunches, etc. 3. Maintain compliance with State of Michigan DHS Licensing Rules and Regulations 4. Must be willing to participate in 12 clock hours of Professional Development annually 5. Must be able to communicate positively with parents 6. Maintain a positive attitude and tone with the children and other staff
Qualifications:
1. Must meet DHS licensing requirements for caregiver https://www.michigan.gov/documents/lara/MCCM_-_New_Rules_-_Centers_3-19-21_720041_7.pdf 2. Upon hiring have current certification in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid 3. Must complete blood-borne pathogen training as required by DHS and the Swan Valley School District 4. Must complete a criminal records background check (fingerprinting) per the requirements of the Michigan School Employment Law (Adam Walsh Act) per the direction of Swan Valley School District and PCMI 5. Must complete a DHS protective services background check per the requirements of
DHS Preferred:
1. Completed or continuing education courses from an accredited college and/or university 2. Relevant experience working with children ages 3-12 Interested candidates must apply in writing (please include letter of interest, resume, and references).
