Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract This rewarding contract position offers the opportunity to provide vital one-on-one support to a 5th grade student in a school setting. The student responds especially well to a positive, encouraging male role model. The assignment will run from as soon as possible through the end of the school year, with the added continuity of accompanying the student during their transition in January to a new educational environment (RESA).

Responsibilities include:

Serving as a dedicated one-on-one support for a 5th grade student throughout the school day Building a strong, positive rapport with the student to foster engagement and emotional safety Assisting the student with classroom tasks, activities, and social interactions Implementing accommodations or modifications outlined by teaching staff or specialists Supporting the successful academic and behavioral transition of the student to a new setting in January Maintaining open communication with teachers, staff, and the student's family, as needed Ensuring a structured and caring presence to promote learning, independence, and self-confidence Ideal candidates should have: Paraprofessional experience in a school environment (preferred) A patient, compassionate demeanor and a genuine commitment to making a difference in a child's life Ability to establish trust and a productive rapport with students, particularly young males Flexibility and adaptability, especially regarding transitions and changes in assignments Strong communication and collaboration skills The ability to work full-time hours through the school year This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful daily impact and help shape a young student's school experience.
