Our center is equipped with five classrooms and we care for children ages three months to ten years old. We run an academically based year-round center with classrooms for each age level. Full Time/Part Time (Schedule subject to change with enrollment) We are seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our organization! Our center is open Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 6:30pm. The hours/shifts worked may vary since the schedule is based off of children's attendance. Afternoon shifts begin between 12:00pm
  • 1:00pm to 5:00pm
  • 6:15pm. Morning shifts begin between 6:30 am
  • 7:30am to 12:00pm
  • 1:30pm. All day shifts vary between 7:00am
  • 8:30am to 4:00pm
  • 5:45pm.
Part-time hours vary between 20-30 hours a week. Full-time hours vary between 32-40 hours a week.
PLEASE NOTE
We do not have a specific time out each day. The time that staff gets to leave, depends on the time that children leave for the day. We are required by the state to maintain specific age group ratios.
Responsibilities:
Assist lead teacher in instruction of preschool-aged and developmentally appropriate activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth Create a fun and safe learning environment Assist in maintaining schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents Assist in communication with parents on students' growth and progress Maintain the health and safety of all students
Qualifications:
Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields (recommended but not required) Passionate about working with children Ability to build rapport with children, co-workers and parents Positive and patient demeanor Excellent written and verbal communication skills
