Desired experience and qualifications:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a related school support role Familiarity with special education settings and behavioral interventions Ability to remain calm, composed, and proactive under challenging circumstances Capable of maintaining ongoing supervision and positive engagement Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with bus drivers and school staff Dependable and punctual, with reliable transportation for early morning shifts Role responsibilities: Ride the school bus with the assigned student, providing hands-on supervision and support Address behavioral incidents gently and professionally, using approved de-escalation methods Keep clear, concise documentation of any incidents or progress during the bus ride Work collaboratively with transportation and school teams to ensure a safe environment Maintain the privacy, dignity, and best interests of the student at all times The schedule includes morning and afternoon runs, totaling 8 hours each weekday, giving you a consistent routine with a meaningful purpose.
