Job Description
Heart and Hands Christian Preschool is seeking a loving, caring, and passionate, assistant teacher! This individual would teach five mornings each week in our 3 and 4-year old co-op classes. The 3's attend on Tuesday/Thursday and 4's attend on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Our co-op classes include Bible teaching and we strive to create a Christ-centered environment for families and students.
Qualifications:
Must have one of the following: An associate degree (or higher) in the field of Early Childhood Education or like A valid CDA certification (will consider candidates willing to obtain this certification) Must also meet the following Must be of good health; and able to lift, bend, and effectively monitor and assist in an active preschool classroom, as the job requires Have certification in CPR, First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens; or be willing/able to complete training within 30 days of hire Satisfactory review of Criminal History Check and DHS Clearance Be patient, flexible, organized, and able to follow directions Have a strong faith and ability to assist in teaching about God's love, Bible Stories, and prayer Be a strong collaborator and team player Strong verbal and written communication skills Possess a growth mindset and desire to learn/try new methods Experience with Creative Curriculum a plus Must demonstrate ability to interact positively with children and parents in a non-judgmental way Must be able to keep information confidentialResponsibilities:
- Supervise students and assist the lead teacher
- Work with lead teacher to prepare and implement lessons
- Engage and interact with students and parents in a positive way
- Willing and able to attend professional development paid for by the preschool
