Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a paraprofessional, supporting a 5th grade student who thrives with strong, positive male guidance. You'll play a pivotal role in this student's daily school experience, fostering an environment where learning and growth are at the forefront. This full-time, contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, with the opportunity to continue as the student transitions midyear to a new educational setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment Demonstrated ability to work effectively one-on-one with elementary-aged students Calm, encouraging, and authoritative male presence Reliability, adaptability, and commitment to supporting student success Willingness to transition to a new location midyear as the student transfers Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and administrators
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support for a 5th grade student throughout the school day Assist the student with classroom activities, assignments, and social interaction Maintain a structured, positive atmosphere conducive to learning and development Implement strategies set by teachers and specialists to enhance academic engagement Support the student during transitions, including adapting to a new educational environment in January Document student progress and communicate effectively with the broader educational team This role offers a unique chance to make a significant difference in a student's life, while expanding your skills and experience in a supportive school environment.
