REPORTS TO
Director of Preschool and Child Care
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age and pass all background clearance checks High school diploma or equivalent CDA, Associate's Degree, or college coursework in early childhood or related field preferred Willingness and ability to learn and implement new strategies/procedures to assist students ages 3-5 Physical abilities to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and/or lift Strong communication skills with students, colleagues, and families
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist students academically, behaviorally, and medically in all school settings Prepare and adapt instructional materials under the direction of the classroom teacher and Early Childhood Special Education Teacher Implement the student's academic, medical, personal, and positive behavioral support plans as outlined by the classroom teacher/Early Childhood Special Education Teacher Work as a team member to support program, building, and district practices and policies Support children in following the classroom routines and stay on task during classroom activities Facilitate social interaction and communication with peers and staff Ability to adjust quickly to meet student needs
SALARY:
$16.16-17.40 based on education and experience
