Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a direct impact in middle school classrooms by supporting students in a center-based environment. This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience working with students, with the added potential for a direct hire position after the initial contracting period. You'll collaborate with teachers and provide vital assistance to students who benefit from specialized support.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional is strongly preferred Comfortable with all aspects of student support, including assisting with toileting as needed Willingness to work in a center-based setting (Setting 2-3 caseloads) Proven ability to support diverse learners in a middle school environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday (32.5 hours per week) Highly Qualified Status Required - Meet ONE of these criteria: Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam (provide passing score documentation) At least 60 college credits (official college transcripts required; diplomas or photos are not accepted)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and providing individualized support to students Supervise students throughout the school day, both in the classroom and during transition periods Support students with personal care needs as required, including toileting assistance Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and students to promote student success This position begins August 31, 2026, and runs for approximately 90 days, after which candidates may be considered for permanent placement.
