Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in elementary schools as a highly-qualified paraprofessional. Openings are available across multiple sites, and you'll be able to select the location that best fits your preference and commute. Trusted school teams will interview candidates for each site, ensuring a good match for your strengths and interests. Your assignment will begin at the end of August and continue through late November as part of a 90-day contracting period, with potential for direct hire assignment following successful completion. You'll be a key partner in ensuring student success, including assisting with toileting needs for those requiring additional support, across a 32.5 hour workweek (Monday through Friday).
Who we need:
Demonstrated experience supporting children or youth in educational settings Ability and willingness to provide comprehensive care, including toileting support, as needed in an elementary school environment Must be "highly qualified" before submission by one of these methods: Passing score on the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam) Minimum of 60 college credits verified by official college transcripts (degree/diploma alone will not suffice) Organized and proactive—able to confirm their preferred school site and plan their travel accordingly Timely submission of a complete resume and supporting 'highly qualified' document required What you'll do: Deliver hands-on academic and behavioral support for young students Collaborate with educators to implement classroom and individual learning goals Assist students with personal care tasks as part of team-oriented support Maintain clear communication with school staff and adhere to district guidelines Highly qualified candidates will earn $20 per hour, with direct hire pay determined by the district at conversion.
