Job Description

Student Support - Any Elementary License (Teacher on Special Assignment) Full-Time .
Duties:
The Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) will provide critical support to elementary schools by working in close collaboration with administrators, general education teachers, and other support personnel. This role involves developing and implementing intervention strategies that promote student engagement, academic achievement, and positive behavior within a safe and inclusive school environment. The TOSA will assist in designing individualized student support plans that strengthen academics, relationships, and foster meaningful connections with students, enhancing their overall learning experience. In addition to consulting with staff, the TOSA will work directly as a classroom teacher to support the implementation of academic and behavioral interventions. Collaboration with the district and building administration is essential to create and monitor intervention plans and systems of support. The TOSA will also provide instruction to small groups of K-3 students in core content areas in their own classroom. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the goals of the school and the district.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires Elementary Ed License. (Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.)

Rate of Pay:
