Teacher Aide

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact this summer supporting students across various grade levels as a highly qualified Paraprofessional for ESY (Extended School Year) programs. Assignments will be tailored to student needs and may include high school, middle school, or elementary placements. This is a contract opportunity, offering weekday morning shifts that allow for flexible summer afternoons.

Qualifications:

Must be highly qualified by one of the following: • Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam (MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam) • OR at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; diploma alone does not qualify) Ability to provide proof of qualifications (attach exam results or transcripts with your application/resume) Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs Adaptable and dependable with excellent communication skills Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in the classroom, providing direct support to students as assigned Implement individualized education and behavioral plans under staff guidance Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment for all learners Supervise students during educational and recreational activities Help with classroom organization and preparation of materials Communicate effectively with staff and students to support summer learning goals

Contract dates: June 15, 2026 - June 25, 2026

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, 8:55 am - 12:25 pm (exact hours may vary by site) Assignments based on student needs—flexibility required This short-term role provides a fulfilling opportunity to make a difference in a supportive educational setting.
