Job Duties Plan, develop, organize, implement and direct daily functions of the building and programs, including dietary, maintenance, emergency response system, housekeeping, and laundry. Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.) Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times Track children's progress and report to parents Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche Collaborate with other educators Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Requirements Must be at least 18 years old and meet one of nine possible combined credential, educational and experience requirements; for example, a high school diploma with 4,160 hours experience as an assistant teacher and 24 credit hours in a child care-related area of study. Working alongside our preschool team, you'll help with classroom activities, play, routines, and hands-on learning while building positive relationships with the children in our care. This is a great opportunity for a college student interested in education or child development to gain meaningful, real-world experience. Schedule:

Approximately 10-15 hours per week, primarily during afternoon hours between 1:00-5:30 p.m., making this a great position to fit around a college class schedule.
