Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Take the next step in your career as a Paraprofessional working with students in a setting 4 K-12 program. This contract opportunity spans from September 8, 2026, through December 7, 2026. The role offers steady weekday hours from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, providing structure and consistency as you support learners across various grade levels.
What You'll Bring:
Minimum of 60 college credits with accompanying transcripts, or a passing score on the MN Para Educator Exam. Experience working as a school paraprofessional, preferably with students requiring specialized support. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, students, and families. Commitment to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Ability to provide both academic and behavioral support tailored to individual student needs. Must submit both a professional resume and proof of Highly Qualified status (either transcripts or proof of passing Para Educator/Parapro exam) for consideration.
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to K-12 students in a structured, setting 4 environment. Implement strategies and accommodations outlined by special education teams. Assist teachers in classroom management, lesson preparation, and adapting instructional materials. Encourage both social and academic growth while monitoring student progress. Contribute to data collection and documentation as needed. After 422 contract hours, candidates will be considered for direct hire by the district, offering the chance for a long-term role.
