This contract position offers an opportunity to provide essential 1:1 assistance for a student enrolled in the MAPD Program. You'll become an invaluable part of the educational team, fostering student growth while helping ensure a safe and productive classroom environment. In this important role, you'll work Monday through Friday from 7:15 am to 2:00 pm, beginning September 8, 2026. The daily work will include classroom support, guidance during transitions between classes, and close supervision during lunch periods. Candidates should be prepared to respond with empathy and professionalism to challenging behaviors as they arise.

Ideal qualifications include:

Two years of college credits from an accredited institution, or An associate degree or higher, or A passing score on an approved formal academic assessment, or Demonstration of required competencies as outlined in the MDE approved competency grid Previous experience supporting students with behavioral or academic needs is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and compassion in working with children Primary responsibilities: Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student in the MAPD Program Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities Support the student during daily transitions and routines Monitor the student during non-classroom settings, such as lunch Model positive social and behavioral skills In this rewarding position, you can expect a competitive pay range of $20-$24 per hour while making a difference in a student's educational experience.
