Hours:
Approximately 6.25 hours per day on student contact days and assigned staff development days Lake Ripley Elementary School is seeking a dedicated, caring, and student-centered individual to serve as a Long-Term Substitute ELL Paraprofessional. This position provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting multilingual learners as they develop English language skills and access grade-level instruction. Position Summary The Long-Term Substitute ELL Paraprofessional works under the direction of licensed ELL staff and classroom teachers to provide instructional and language support for students who are learning English. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide instructional support to English Language Learners in classrooms, small groups, and individual settings. Reinforce language development skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Assist students in accessing grade-level curriculum and classroom activities. Support implementation of instructional strategies and interventions directed by licensed staff. Encourage student participation, independence, and engagement in learning. Collaborate with classroom teachers, ELL teachers, special education staff, and other support personnel to meet student needs. Support students during classroom transitions, school activities, and other assigned duties. Maintain confidentiality of student information and records. Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal or supervising teacher. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Meets Minnesota paraprofessional requirements or ability to obtain required qualifications. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds. Why Lake Ripley Elementary?
