Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students across a vibrant Minnesota district. This role seeks six dedicated, highly qualified floating paraprofessionals to join flexible crews assigned throughout the area, ensuring there's always support available when needs arise. As a floating paraprofessional, you'll fill in during staff absences at various elementary, middle, and high school sites, including specialized programs. Your 30-hour workweeks are guaranteed when school is in session—and you'll have the chance to build relationships across a range of school communities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Must meet Minnesota's "Highly Qualified Paraprofessional" criteria by either: Passing the MN Board Para Educator Exam, or Providing official transcripts verifying at least 60 completed college credits Experience working in educational settings supporting students with behavioral needs and/or in SPED classrooms Willingness to assist with behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and toileting as required Flexibility to work both 1:1 and classroom aide assignments Reliable transportation and readiness to travel between various district sites Dependable, proactive communicator
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day classroom and individual student support as directed by site supervisors Implement behavior intervention strategies and adapt to evolving classroom demands Maintain clear, timely communication with crew supervisors Travel within assigned area to support daily coverage needs
